SUMMER TERM 2016:
Greenwich Schools Swimming Gala
On Friday 1st July, children from OLOG competed in the annual swimming gala for Greenwich Schools at Eltham Leisure Centre.
Jack, Diogo, Tom, Ella, Shahana and Jasmine represented Year 5 and Erin, Yasmine and Niall represented Year 6.
We are extremely proud of all our pupils. Everyone involved showed great commitment and team spirit. Very well done to Jack, Jasmine and Shahana who achieved gold medals in individual races. The children really supported each other and gave their very best in every event. The relay races were so exciting and both the boys and the girls teams achieved gold! Their brilliant efforts were rewarded with 1st place (small schools) and 3rd place overall. Yet another trophy for the cabinet! Congratulations to all our swimmers.
Catholic Primary Schools Football Tournament - WINNERS
What another fantastic afternoon of excellent playing from our boys who brought back another trophy for the school.
Michael Maher, Sports Coach, St Paul's Academy: They won the tournament in style and really listened about playing with heart and desire and were fantastic.
Year four too part in the Greenwich Sportathon at Sutcliffe Park. This year was very special as it was the tenth anniversary of this event. Children took part in four events, these being - wheelchair relay, big dance, athletics and multi-skills sports. Children were a credit to their school and they took part in each event with such enthusiasm.
Kwik Cricket Tournament - WINNERS!
What a great way to spend a Friday playing Kwik Cricket at Charlton Park and winning 4 games. That gave Year 6 another trophy to bring back to School. Fantastic!

Girls Kwik Cricket Tournament
The girls cricket team entered the Kwik Cricket competition at Charlton Park on a warm sunny day. They played 3 teams in the morning with some thrilling shots and ball throwing that led to us winning one, drawing one and losing the last game. The afternoon brought us 2 more games with some great fielding from Isabella. The team were very happy with their performance. Well done girls!
SPRING TERM 2016:
We are the Champions - again!
What a fantastic result! Our Lady of Grace won the Touch Rugby tournament at St Paul's for the third year in a row.
Michael Maher, our specialist Sports Coach - I just want to congratulate you all for a wonderful afternoon of year 5/6 mix touch rugby.
The weather was glorious and the students excelled in skill and team work and most importantly excellent sportsmanship, the true spirit of rugby!
Many congrats to Our Lady of Grace, winning the final by defeating a very well organised St Patricks team by 5-4. It was very close and either side could have snatched it. It's a hat-trick of wins now for Our Lady of Grace in this event and well done to all involved. Very well disciplined and super ball skill team. Mr Small should be very proud of his students.
Boys – Children from Years 5 & 6 entered the Basketball Tournament at St Paul’s last week and after playing six group games, they won five. This put them in the final against St Thomas a Beckett – that was an exciting game ending with our boys just missing out of winning the cup. Well done to all the boys.
Girls – Wow what a tournament! The girls played in six group games with so much effort and ability it got them through to the final against St Peter’s School. There was so much excitement from both teams but by the end of the match Our Lady of Grace came out the winners – fantastic! Well done girls!
Our Lady of Grace Netball Team competed in the Hi5 Netball Tournament at St Paul’s. The squad of seven pupils started with a game against Charlton Manor which they won in convincing style 4-0. Then we had two more wins 1-0, 3-0, then we lost our 4th game so that put us into the next round.
We played two more Schools and both ended in victory for our team on a very cold, windy but enjoyable afternoon. Great effort children.
AUTUMN TERM 2015
Our Lady of Grace had the opportunity to take part in the Indoor Athletics tournament at St Paul’s and coming 4th out of 9 schools, they did really well.
Mairtin McGrath, Sports Coach – "What a truly amazing event, the best ever standard at this event run at St Paul’s Academy so far! Both track and field events were evenly contested. The talent of all the children involved was awesome and their application and skill of running , jumping and throwing in isolation and in combination at this level, at such at young age deserves a lot of credit. It was so close in the end and any of the top four could have won."
"I want to congratulate the very talented and well drilled Our Lady of Grace year 5/6 Boys and Girls on a wonderful performance in the final against the very gallant St Mary’s Team who showed great team work and determination." - Mairtin McGrath, Sports Coach, St Pau's Academy.
"Just a quick note to let you know what an amazing performance your children delivered yesterday. They didn’t concede a single score in any of their 4 games, they scored 13 and were deserved winners. Their attitude was immense and their teamwork refreshing to see." - Michael Maher, Sports Specialist Coach, St Paul's Academy
