Year 5 - St Elizabeth

At this time of year most classes are revising and consolidating the work done so far, but there is still a focus for this half term.

We will be studying ‘Earth, Sun and Moon’ in Science:

·         learn about the different planets and the sizes

·         using models to understand how the movements relate to day and night.

In History we will be looking at the ‘Tudors’ through the story of Henry VIII’s marriages and the difference between rich and poor lives from the tudor period.

It would be very helpful if you could do any of the following at home.

a)   Encourage your child to read for twenty minutes each evening.

b)   Practise times tables weekly.

c)   Help and encourage your child to find and present information on the topics specified above.

Your child will have homework sent home on Fridays, can you please ensure it is completed and handed in on Tuesdays.
