Homework Topic – Year 6: St Patrick
Dear Parents,
We hope you enjoyed a happy and peaceful Christmas – we thank you all enormously for your Good Wishes and cards. It’s lovely to have the children back looking wonderfully smart and raring to go.
This is a really important term for Year 6 as, alongside our ‘regular’ curriculum, we will be focusing on revision and preparation for SATs in May.
We know how supportive you always are – and this is an enormous help to your child and his/her progression through Year 6.
- We do ask that you sign homework tasks which will be given on Fridays.
- Encourage your child to be aware of current news items and discuss them together.
- Visit the local parks, libraries andLondonlandmarks – they will still be there long after SATs and especially in this Olympic year we want our children to know their city!
- Make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats breakfast.
- Read and talk with them as much as you possibly can.
Finally, your children are wonderful and a real credit to you. We look forward to a very successful term.
Yours sincerely,
JULIA MURPHY / COLLEEN DOYLE
