Summer Term 2012

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to school for the summer term!  Thank you for all the support and help you give to your child’s education at home, it is invaluable.

Targets are set in Maths and English related to the Primary Strategy. They are changed as and when they are achieved. We will keep you informed of your child’s target by putting them into their homework book. In this way we know that you can refer to them when discussing homework being done each week.

In Foundation stage the children will continue to follow the Early Years curriculum which is set out in six areas. If you are unclear about this curriculum please speak to one of the teachers who have signed below. Or you can make an appointment to see Mr Small who is happy to explain it. This curriculum sets out the steps the children need to make to develop their knowledge and understanding across all areas.

Each term we send home a newsletter summarising what is to be covered in the class during the coming term. Our planning is posted outside your child’s class and you are welcome to refer to it.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this letter and may we repeat that we are willing to meet you if you have any concerns. If you think an appointment for a longer meeting is necessary just let us or our office staff know and it can be arranged.
