KS2 Newsletter to Parents
Summer Term 2012
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to everyone after what we hope was a lovely, relaxing Easter break. The children look wonderfully smart – and ready to go!
You will have received your child’s class overview of the curriculum to be covered this term. If you have any queries, please see the class teacher – if she can’t see you immediately then an appointment will be arranged through the school office.
This half term sees a huge focus in all classes on R.E. partly because we will be having our ‘Section 48’ (R.E. Inspection) in May – but primarily because of the importance we attach to the teaching of R.E. and its place at the heart of the curriculum in our School.
During the second half of term we will all be heavily involved with work around the Olympics – a wonderful opportunity to work meaningfully on aspects of writing / maths / history / geography etc and a fantastic way to celebrate culture and achievement!
Our immediate focus is on the Year 2/Year 6 SATs and assessment in all classes. This takes place from 14th May and we ask your assistance in ensuring that work sent home is completed and signed.
Finally, keep doing what you do so well – we do appreciate your support and the fact that we ALL work together, it makes a real difference!
Yours sincerely
Mrs Murphy, Mrs Doyle, Miss Dellavalle, Mrs Harding, Miss Corbett
