Dance  Showcase – February 2012

Year 5 took part at an annual dance showcase at Thomas Tallis School, performing a dance inspired by Bollywood.  Children from other local schools also took part with the age ranging from Year 1 primary to college level.

 

Cricket Tournament – January 2012

Ten children from Year 6 went to Charlton School to take part in a Cricket tournament with three other  Greenwich Schools. We came 3rd in the competition and the children really enjoyed taking part in the event.

 

Sportathon – June 2011

Year 4 competed against over 60 schools in Greenwich at Woolwich Army Barracks. They had great fun on an inflatable assault course, played expertly in several football matches and set records in a range of athletic activities.

We are very proud to announce that their excellent efforts and behaviour led them to the finals where they excelled themselves and came 4th out of the whole competition. Well done Year 4!

 

ICT – St Matthew Academy – May 2011

Year 5 had a fantastic time when they went to St Matthew’s Academy to make use of their excellent ICT equipment. They were given the opportunity to design their own playground and produce that design using the computer program Microsoft Publisher.

 

Science Transition Project, St Ursula’s – March 2011

A group of Year 5 pupils had a great time at St Ursula’s carrying out a range of different Science experiments. We had the opportunity to investigate a snake, how long different candles burn for, how absorbent different paper towels were and how exercise affects memory. We were practising using our higher level thinking skills in Science.

 

Author visit at St Ursula’s – February 2011

In February a group of Year 6 children visited St Ursula’s to listen to the author G.P. Taylor speak about his latest book. We joined Years 7 and 8 in the hall where the author signed copies of his book for us to take home.

Athletics Competition – February 2011

Eighteen Year 6 children participated in an Inter-School’s Athletic Competition at Eltham Green Secondary School.

Athletics Event – February 2011

On the 14th February, Year 6 will be taking part in an indoor Athletics Competition. Heather Gwynn Williams came to our School to help us practise for this event.

 

St Matthews Academy: Year 6 – October 2010

Year 6 were given the opportunity to visit St Matthews Academy and use their ICT Suite and media facilities. All children made DVD’s of their favourite cartoons.

 

St Paul’s PE Taster: Year 5 – June 2010

A group of children in Year 5 visited St Paul’s Academy and had fun trying out some sports activities.

 

Hockey Tournament with Sherington & Fossdene Schools

Children from Our Lady of Grace joined forces with pupils of Sherington & Fossdene Schools to take part in a hockey tournament.

 

Year 6 visit St Ursula’s Convent School

A group of Year 6 children visited St Ursula’s as part of the Gifted & Talented Scheme.
