We welcome Councillor Khaireh to Our Lady of Grace
The School Council members had a fantastic time meeting Councillor Adel Khaireh, Labour’s councillor for Plumstead and Glyndon today.
During the visit, they were eager to learn more about his role within the local community and the responsibilities that come with being an elected representative. Councillor Khaireh spoke about the importance of teamwork, listening to others, and making decisions that benefit everyone — qualities that also make a great school council member.
He shared his experiences of working with local residents, addressing community concerns, and helping to shape improvements across the area. The pupils asked thoughtful questions about leadership, fairness, and how they could make a real difference within their own school. Councillor Khaireh encouraged them to be confident in sharing their ideas, to work collaboratively, and to always consider the views of their peers.
