Boys Football Team - Charlton Athletic

The boys football team took part in the Charlton Athletic tournament on Thursday 27th June.

18 schools took part in the tournament from Greenwich, Bexley and Kent.

The boys came through the group stage top of their group with 3 wins and 2 draws, not conceding a goal in the process.

In the semi final they faced local rivals Sherington and won 2-0.  In the final they were up against Amherst school from Rochester and they put in a dominant display winning 3-1.

They were excellent ambassadors for the school. They played with great bravery, skill and discipline all day and were deserved winners finishing the tournament after 6 games and only conceding 1 goal.

This was the boys third tournament this year and their third winners trophy. A huge congratulations to the team.

Boys and Girls Football Tournament - St Paul's Academy

The boys football team took part in the St Paul’s Academy tournament in February.  The squad of 6 boys were outstanding from start to finish, conceding only 2 goals throughout the tournament and going unbeaten.   The final was a tense affair with St Patrick’s ending in a draw, but the boys came out on top in a penalty shoot-out to see them take home the trophy.  They should be extremely proud of their efforts. 

The girls football team performed with great credit at the St Paul’s Academy tournament in early March.  They improved with every game, winning one group game, draw another and 2 narrow defeats which unfortunately meant they were knocked out after the group stages.   They visibly grew in confidence in each game and represented the school with pride.  

 

 

Sports Hall Athletics - St Paul's Catholic Academy

Children from Years 5 & 6 took part in the Sports Hall Athletics Tournament at St Paul's Academy over the course of 2 events on 9th and 10th November, there were more than 200 pupils from Greenwich Catholic primary schools.

Pupils at Our Lady of Grace really put their all into the different events and this certainly paid off.

We are delighted to announce that the girls came joint 1st and the boys came 1st.  Well done to all the participants.
