Spring 2024
Religious Education
In Year 3, class we have been learning about the importance of Lent. We discussed how we can prepare for Easter and explored how
Jesus prepared for his sacrifice. We read through the story of the Last Supper and reflected on how we thought Jesus' disciples would be feeling. We wrote a recount of the important event as one of the disciples.
In Year 3 we have been exploring folktales. We have looked at various traditional folktales and explored them through roleplay and comprehension tasks. We have been able to write explanation folktales based on the title 'Why the Stars Shine in The Sky' and have used imagery, adjectives and fronted adverbials in our writing.
In Year 3 we have been reading the book Tiger Dead! Tiger Dead! We used role play to explore the characters' emotions and though about how we could adapt the story and make it our own. We retold the story using different characters.
