Bishop Philip Moger's visit 29th April 2024

We were delighted to welcome Bishop Philip Moger to Our Lady of Grace school today. He met with Mr Small on his arrival to the school. This was followed by a meeting with Bishop Philip and members of the Mini Vinnies. Bishop Philip was then given a tour of the school by the head boy, Vinnie Taylor, and head girl, Chloe Moody.

The bishop visited St Francis of Assisi to observe a class Act of Worship. Last year, some of our children had the pleasure of attending Bishop Philip's ordination and he met with these children again.

We hope he enjoyed his visit and we look forward to seeing him back at Our Lady of Grace school soon.

Platform Cricket Inter School Festival Under 9's Cricket Tournament

Platform Cricket Inter School Festival Under 9’s Cricket Tournament Continuing the momentum from winning the Pan London event in 2023 a new set of year 4s Year 3s embarked on 2024 Tournament at The Rectory Field, Charlton. The team progressed from the group to the semi-final and for the second year running the final. The final against Invicta was a tense affair, but some excellent batting and running ensured a 5 run victory was enough to take home the winners' medals.  After a very close, tense game with some excellent cricket played by both teams, Victory prevailed for OLOG by a slender 6 runs. What was particularly impressive was the OLOG children espousing the Roman Catholic values and ethos of our school in resilience, team work and compassion. Even more pleasing was the children thanked the Umpires and Tournament officials unprompted at the conclusion of the day. They were a credit to the school today. Every tournament the school has entered this year has resulted in returning with the winners trophy. This is a truly incredible achievement, and the children should be extremely proud of their sporting excellence and endeavours.  It is absolutely fantastic to see how much the children pride themselves on performing to the very best of their ability at every tournament we attend, the encouragement they offer each other and how much effort they put in to being the best they can be.  Every child should be extremely proud of how they represented the school this year.  The Pan London final will be held in September.
