Posted on: 29/04/2024Bishop Philip Moger's visit 29th April 2024We were delighted to welcome Bishop Philip Moger to Our Lady of Grace school today. He met with Mr Small on his arrival to the school. This was followed by a meeting with Bishop Philip and members of the Mini Vinnies. Bishop Philip was then given a tour of the school by the head boy, Vinnie Taylor, and head girl, Chloe Moody. The bishop visited St Francis of Assisi to observe a class Act of Worship. Last year, some of our children had the pleasure of attending Bishop Philip's ordination and he met with these children again. We hope he enjoyed his visit and we look forward to seeing him back at Our Lady of Grace school soon.

We started off with Year 6 taking a closer look at the human circulatory system through games and a heart dissection with Townley Grammar School. David Hall – Mr “Michael Faraday” was also in the school to deliver an exciting Key stage 2 workshop on The Journey of Electricity through Time. With the help of the school’s Science Club members, EYFS and Key Stage 1 children experimented with chromatography, series circuits surface tension and many more.

This was an amazing achievement, especially as we had one of the wettest March’s in history. CAFOD’s Lent appeal has raised £196 to transform the lives of some of the poorest people in the world by giving them education and resources to help build better lives in their communities. Thank you for supporting this.
