Posted on: 11/06/2025London Fire Brigade Visit - June 2025We had a fantastic visit from Clarisse, who taught us all about fire safety at home. She showed us how to check our smoke alarms, create a fire escape plan, and understand the importance of staying calm in an emergency. We learned how to spot potential fire hazards and ways to make our homes safer. Clarisse even gave us some homework to share with parents—important tasks like testing smoke alarms and planning a safe way to exit your home in case of a fire We were surprised to find out that smoke alarms are a free service provided by the London Fire Brigade.

Posted on: 2/06/2025EYFS Road Safety WorkshopsWe had a road safety workshop today where we learnt all about the rules of the road. We were taught a clever chant to help us remember, “we stop, look, listen, think and hold hands.” We learnt that police, ambulance and fire trucks are allowed to ‘break the rules’ and not stop at a red light. In groups, we took turns to practice crossing the ‘road’ safely. We got to hold objects to help us remember that we have to, stop, look, listen and think.
