Posted on: 28/03/2025Characters of the Cross Event - Christchurch ElthamThe Year 6 pupils had a fantastic time at the Characters of the Cross event at Christchurch Eltham. They worked in small groups around the church, each focusing on a different character from the Easter story. Pupils had the opportunity to explain who their character was, their role in the Easter story, and the reasons behind their actions. They then presented their ideas to the group, showcasing their understanding and interpretation. Year 6 were able to draw on their knowledge of the Bible and make meaningful connections to the upcoming Passion service, deepening their understanding of Lent, Easter, and the key figures in the Easter story.

As you know, the building works will commence during the Easter school holidays. The design team and construction firm explained the logistics of the project. Posted on: 27/03/2025Boys' Football Tournament - Charlton FC Community TrustA fantastic effort by the OLOG Football to reach the final of the Charlton FC Community Trust 6, a side inter-school tournament on March 27th 2025. A total of 20 Schools from the local area participated. The OLOG team were extremely impressive in the 4 matches of the group stage and finished as group winners. The quarter final was a tense affair which went to penalties with OLOG winning through. The semi-final was tough with OLOG prevailing by a single goal. Unfortunately, despite being the dominant team, OLOG lost to a single goal. I was very proud of all the OLOG team who worked fantastically well as a footballing unit and showed great resilience. Congratulations to Mr Maher and Mr Gordon for their dedication and expertise in guiding OLOG to the final and playing some amazing football. It was evident boys all thoroughly enjoyed their day!
