London Fire Brigade Visit - June 2025

We had a fantastic visit from Clarisse, who taught us all about fire safety at home. She showed us how to check our smoke alarms, create a fire escape plan, and understand the importance of staying calm in an emergency. We learned how to spot potential fire hazards and ways to make our homes safer. Clarisse even gave us some homework to share with parents—important tasks like testing smoke alarms and planning a safe way to exit your home in case of a fire We were surprised to find out that smoke alarms are a free service provided by the London Fire Brigade.

Year 6 Buddihism Visit - Wednesday 11th June 2025

Today, Year 6 received a talk from Ms Yasunaga, one of our parents who is a Buddhist, in her talk she explained that she was from Japan and that Buddhism is more of a way of life. Ms Yasunaga explained that the way of life was about being a good person, caring for others and accepting that there is suffering in the world. Within her presentation, Ms Yasunaga covered the four noble truths which were that suffering exists, cause of suffering, end of suffering and the path of liberation. It was a fantastic session full of information which ended with a question and answer opportunity.
