Year 5 Graffiti Art Trip to Charlton Park
Year 5 had an exciting trip to Charlton Park, where we explored the world of graffiti art. We began by analysing the graffiti already displayed in the skate park, discussing the messages, techniques and styles used by different artists.
Back at the park, we held a lively debate around the question: Is graffiti art or vandalism? Everyone shared thoughtful points, showing how deeply they had considered both sides of the argument.
The highlight of the day was collaborating on our very own giant graffiti art piece as a class. We used spray paints and bold designs to create a vibrant artwork, which we proudly brought back to school.
It was a brilliant hands-on way to learn about art, expression and community spaces.
