Girls' Summer Shield Tournament - St Paul's Academy
Our girls' football team took part in the girls' Summer Shield at St Paul's Academy.
In a tough group with St Patrick and Boxgrove school, the girls had to play 4 group games to qualify for the final. The girls managed to get 10 points from 12, only drawing one game and conceding one goal in the process and flew into the final.
The final was a rematch against Boxgrove School which promised to be an extremely tough game. The girls were absolutely excellent and dominated the game from start to finish. They won 3-0 and were crowned winners of the Summer Shield.
The girls have excelled at every tournament they attended this year. In their previous tournament they had been desperately unlucky not to qualify for the final and they put that disappointment well and truly behind them in this one.
The squad this year was Anzelma, Nethra, Chizara, Mary, Teniola, Michelle, Dabira, Nia.
